Wolverine #300- Yes, because the constant renumbering isn’t getting old. Besides that stupidity, this was a decent story because it’s still Jason Aaron. It’s a good balance of humor and violence and it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Art was nice with Ron Garney and Adam Kubert. The package is weak for the price point though as there are only twenty-eight pages of relevant story. I’m not counting the Sabertooth Reborn preview because A) It’s Loeb and Bianchi which means it’s kinda crap already, B) I don’t really care about Sabertooth being reborn, and C) you should never have to pay extra for a preview. A good story wrapped in a crappy $4.99 package. If you’re a Wolverine fan or an Aaron fan you’re going to get this regardless, but it just pisses me off that they freely abuse consumer loyalty. It doesn’t surprise me, it just continually pisses me off. B

Six Guns #3 & #4- I know I already pushed this with the first two issues but having just now caught up to #4 I have to stress that this is a pretty awesome and easy to access story from Marvel. It’s the kind of story that would make a fun movie but it’s not trying to be a story trying to be a movie, if that makes any sense. If you can’t catch up with the single issues this will make an awesome trade and you should make it a point to pick it up. A

Batman #5- This is the first time that I’ve had a little trouble with a Snyder book, mostly because after reading Grant Morrison deconstruct Batman with a mental attack in RIP I feel that the ‘Batman-going-crazy’ bar has been set pretty high and unless the next issue really gives us a positive swerve this just sort of fell flat. The amount of batshit insanity coming out of Bruce’s mouth was out of character, and I know that’s the point but after the man survived the Black Glove attack this game by the Court of Owls should be easy enough for him to deal with. Unless we are to assume RIP doesn’t count anymore, which in that case….poop. I want to give them credit for the reverse printing job as in innovative way of underlining the hallucinations Bruce is experiencing, but it’s been done (with a different context) by Miranda Mercury and I don’t doubt the possibility it’s been done before MM. Despite my complaints I don’t want you thinking that I thought this was a bad issue, but it felt like it missed a beat as I’m used to seeing and prefer Batman as less of a spaz. B
