Apocalypse has been in multiple vs. games as the final boss. Marvel vs Capcom was the first time he didn't show as a boss.

Yeah, I remember Apocalypse popping up as a boss before, but it would be awesome to have him as a playable character ;) Between size-shifting, turning his arms into weapons, and just being a a great design I would pretty much play the hell out of that character

I'm assuming we're using the Bucky Cap if we use a Winter Soldier skin? But all in all, I agree with you. Thor definitely seems like a must and would work really well, think of him as the Raiden of MvC3.

The main skin could be classic Steve Rogers Cap, then the Bucky Cap with the gun, then Winter Soldier. Hell, even the new Steve Rogers Super Soldier design wouldn't be too bad :)

Thor actually was in Marvel vs. Capcom but only as a helper character. He flew down and shot a bolt of lightning across the screen from his hammer then flew away.

I forgot about that. See, I just think he would be great as a playable since they can give him all sorts of hammer combos. Plus, maybe he can call upon Beta Ray Bill for help ;)

Could be cool, but think there would be too many legal loopholes as he's not really a Marvel character owned by the company, just published by them =/

Man, finally someone with some taste.  I love all your ideas, the mirror my own choices very well, especially people like Rocket Raccon, Squirrel Girl, Doc Ock, Modok and Fin Fang Foom.  Ultron is a really good pick as well

I think Machine Man, Death's Head, or Warlock woudl be really great robotic styled characters to have in the game as well.  Death's head might be a bit limited in play, ash he'd probably be a lot like Chris, but his character is great.  Warlock has all teh abilities one would normally associate with Apocalypse in a quirky yellow and black cyber mohawked shell, and Machine Man...Machine Man is just kean, cynical, half drunk and filled with devices nasty devices.

Nova as you said would be great, but how bout Noh Var, the former Marvel boy and recently dubbed protector.  The guy is fast and strong, runs straight up walls, and has all kinds of odd alien gadgetry

Gertrude Yorkes from the Runaways - she's an attractive smart and realistically proportioned girl with a genetically engineered velociraptor.  GENETICALLY ENGINEERED VELOCIRAPTOR.

On the X-men front it'd be great to see Pixe, flying, magical dagger, teleporting, adorablness, an excellent character for these games

Great picks with machine Man and Deaths Head. If you get the chance, check out the new X-Men: Sword TPB, it has a great appearance by Deaths Head :) I think Warlock would work great visually in the game as well.

Noh Var is another great choice, plus they can give him a few different skins to play around with.

Genetically engineered velociraptor FTW

Totally forgot to include Beta Ray Bill in this list! Nothing is more awesome than a horse-faced cyborg with the power of the Norse gods who can also blow up planets.

Damn you're right, I totally didn't really include any women in this listing besides Squirrel Girl. Sorry about that, I suppose in general I find DC has a better selection of female characters. Are there any from Marvel you would prefer to see?

In general we tend to see Psylocke, Storm, and Rogue mentioned as options, but frankly a lot of the X-Women are a little played out. If we are looking at a good selection of Marvel women, I would have to include Valkyrie, Spider-Woman, Scarlet Witch, Ms Marvel, Domino, Black Widow, Black Cat, and She-Hulk.

Any others you would be interested in seeing?

I guess u could swap out Rogue for Ms. Marvel. Domino would be great (who doesnt like to see a sexy female with a gun). Scarlet Witch might be hard to pull-off... but u could play with her reality warping powers, have her change the stage to a dangerous area to attack the opponent. And other magic tricks, But I think I would rather see Dr. Strange in it then her.

Surge would be great to put in. I love Electric powers. OR how about Hawkeye or Stature from Young Avengers? Or some of the females from The Runaways

Daken and X would have to be separate characters. total different gameplay for both of them. Daken is similar to Wolvie, but u could add in the teleportation he kinda did when he first entered the comics. He would play more as a wild card then Wolvie.

And X, u would give her kick attacks that the other 2 wouldn't have because of the claws in her feet. While Wolvie & Daken are somewhat similar, X is completely different. Since Tooth probably wont be back, Daken and X needs to be added to the Roster.
